My Life:

A cottage in the city...

I live my Bucolic lifestyle in the city, under a canopy of trees, in a character home with the feel of a country lifestyle. I'm also lucky enough to be able to escape to my family's country home and truly live the Bucolic life!

Whether it's out on the deck with a latte, a new magazine and my dog, Charlie; expanding my gardens; skating on an outdoor rink or hiking through the mountains in Kananaskis Alberta, I love being outdoors.

My favorite days are spent in the countryside, by the water, at the cottage, in the forest or taking a road trip through small town Ontario, searching through local boutiques for that one-of-a-kind piece!

I am a HUGE proponent of supporting local business too! I shop as often as I can at local boutiques/stores, I eat at local restaurants, I use local services/suppliers....I find the quality, workmanship and attention to detail in all of these areas is far superior and everything is always so unique. Plus, and this is really the most important aspect of shopping local...at least for me...you are supporting your friends and neighbours!

My Style:

Cozy, comfortable and casual. The three C's of my personal style. 

My day to day wear includes a great scarf, simple jewelry (I love mixing metals), a riding boot, jeans, a blazer or poncho and a functional yet fashionable handbag. 

When it comes time to dress it up a bit, I tend to keep to my staples, but add in a heeled boot, a dark jean, and a bit of shimmer in my accessories.

I gravitate to neutrals - camel, chocolate brown, midnight black, charcoal grey, navy blue....and add in pops of colour through my accessories. 

My day to day style includes the simple things...a great cup of coffee, brunch with friends, a walk in the park, getting up early to enjoy the sunrise, staying up late to lay under the stars...

Less truly is more in my life...
